Volkert is a purebred Friesian stallion. He stands at 17hh and has all the classic baroque looks as well as the classic Friesian disposition. He is the most wonderful horse I have ever been around.

Volkert's sire is Ludse. His dam is Honeybee. Ludse comes from the Naen and Jochem lines (same performance blood as Tsjerk). He has model and preferent mares on both sides. Honeybee comes from Ulke R.329 and Hotse lines and has only preferent mares top and bottom. Sadly, Volkert sustained an injury that prevented him from being able to attend a Keuring. This prevents him from being able to gain the recognition he deserves. However, his bloodlines clearly make him an excellent choice for crossbreeding. His first foals will be on the ground in the spring of 2006.
